Key Responsibilities

• Operate lorry-mounted cranes to load, unload, lift, and position materials such as machinery, steel, pipes, containers, and mining equipment
• Conduct pre-start, post-operation, and routine inspections of the crane, truck, lifting gear, and safety systems
• Follow approved lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements
• Secure loads using appropriate rigging and lifting equipment
• Coordinate with riggers, signalers, supervisors, and other site personnel during lifting operations
• Ensure compliance with mine safety rules, legal regulations, and company policies
• Maintain accurate logs, inspection records, and daily checklists
• Identify and report mechanical faults, unsafe conditions, or near-miss incidents
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the crane and vehicle

• Work in confined, remote, or high-risk mining environments as required
