VAT Accountant

**Core Responsibilities**

**_VAT Compliance & Reporting:_**

+ Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely VAT returns (e.g., monthly, quarterly) for various jurisdictions (e.g., domestic, EU, international).
+ Manage and process related compliance documentation, including EC Sales Lists, Intrastat declarations, and annual reconciliations.
+ Ensure all VAT-related transactions are correctly accounted for and recorded in the financial system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
+ Perform regular VAT general ledger account reconciliations.

**_Advisory & Strategy:_**

+ Act as the primary point of contact for internal VAT queries from various departments (e.g., Sales, Purchasing, Legal, IT).
+ Monitor changes in VAT legislation and regulations across relevant jurisdictions and proactively assess the impact on the business.
