Va/ve engineer (value analysis / value engineering)

Overall Scope Automotive VA/VE Engineer with a strong focus on mechanical design and mechatronics. The current product portfolio includes EGR systems, solenoids, injection-molded components, throttle bodies, and pedal assemblies. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of solenoid and electric motor operating principles, cast or molded housings, as well as CAD/FEA design and DFMEA. Responsibilities and Duties: • Develop and evaluate cost reduction ideas through technical and commercial analysis, as well as data collection throughout the entire product lifecycle (Value Engineering + Value Analysis). • Increase profitability by driving design changes that reduce overall BOM cost. • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to generate cost reduction ideas. • Lead technical discussions and project meetings with multidisciplinary teams. • Visit suppliers to analyze manufacturing processes, tooling, and costs. • Work with Test and Validation teams to plan and ensure timelines f...
