Vehicle Engineer

3 Month Contract With A local Authority Job Purpose To carry out the servicing, maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of vehicles, plant, and specialist equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory regulations, DVSA requirements, and operator licence obligations. The role requires a flexible, multi-skilled approach to support the operational needs of the Transport Workshop and wider service. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine safety inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles, plant, and specialist equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults. Prepare vehicles and equipment for MOT, DVSA, and other statutory inspections.
