Roles and Responsibilities
Understand the Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Quality Policy, and the responsibilities under the Environmental Management System (EMS)
Report any environmental noncompliance and/or concern to their manager or members of the senior management team (including the highest level of management) either directly or through the open reporting system as per Management System guidelines
Provide support and advice to the assigned vessels on all marine related aspects such as, but not limited to:
Navigational best practices
Weather and voyage routing advice
Cargo management, cargo planning and conflict resolution
Input into and guidance to the vessel’s Masters on Dangerous Goods Risk Assessments
Pertinent information relating to new trade route for assigned vessels
Conduct vessel internal audits to ascertain the level of implementation and compliance with company Management System
