Veterinarian Hospitalist

**BluePearl Pet Hospital** in **Pittsburgh, PA** is seeking a **Veterinarian Hospitalist** to provide medical oversight to a variety of hospitalized veterinary patients. You will join our large referral team setting where we have 7 criticalists combined in both of our Pittsburgh locations and a house officer program consisting of rotating interns, emergency and critical care interns and residents, and surgical interns and residents.

**As a Veterinarian Hospitalist you will** **:**

+ Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries.
+ Evaluates patient status, make timely treatment and diagnostic plans/orders, administer medications, interpret diagnostic test results, communicate effectively with the pet owner/client and primary care veterinarian, and collaborate on patient care with other veterinarians within the practice.

+ Dress animal wounds and treats animals with fractures.
+ Write prescriptions for sick animals.
