Job Summary

Veterinary Technician I/II (CARE) – Full‑time staff position at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals, World Equestrian Center, Marion (Ocala).

Responsibilities

• Assist in equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging services.
• Provide primary and urgent care for small animal patients.
• Instruct veterinary students in technical skills and supervised medical treatments and procedures.
• Perform patient care under the direction of veterinarians.
• Carry out tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs and extensive standing, bending, and kneeling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience (Veterinary Technician I) or credentialed veterinary technician (Veterinary Technician II).
• Strong communicator with an interest in developing patient care and surgical nursing skills.
