Visiting Nurse - RPN/RN

Requirements and Qualifications

• A regulated health professional (RPN)with a minimum 2 years experience
• Must be willing to travel in the Mississauga and Halton region
• CurrentBLScertification
• Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• 2 Steps of Tuberculosis (TB) Testand Immunizations (up to date)
• Excellent communicator, able to foster relationships with Home Care Staff and clients
• Strong time management skills, confidentiality, and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing in-home assessments of health status, mobility, cognition, and home safety
• Provide clinical care including medication administration, injections, IV therapy, wound and catheter care, andostomy management
• Perform diagnostic procedures (e.g., blood glucose and urine tests) and manage medical equipment such as oxygen, feeding tubes, or CPAP
