VLRC Staff Attorney

Primary Purpose The VLRC Staff Attorney will work under the direct supervision of the Director, California Victims Legal Resource Center. The VLRC Staff Attorney will provide case management and direct legal representation to victims of crime in Sacramento and surrounding Counties. Provide legal information and referrals to victims over the statewide 1-800- VICTIMS hotline, conduct legal research and writing on victims’ rights related matters, and review law clerk research.

Essential Functions Provide direct legal representation to VLRC Legal Center clients, including representation in court and complete case management. Help monitor law clerks as they provide legal information through the 1800VICTIMS hotline and website chat function. Assist director in supervising legal externs in their duties at the Center.
