VMC Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) as per drawing specifications.
• Load and unload components and ensure proper clamping and alignment.
• Set tools, take offsets, and select appropriate CNC programs.
• Perform milling, drilling, tapping, and contouring operations.
• Read and understand engineering drawings to maintain dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
• Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
• Maintain machining parameters to achieve required surface finish and quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain machine cleanliness.
• Report machine breakdowns or quality issues to the supervisor.

Key skills required:

• Knowledge of VMC machine operations.
• Basic understanding of G-Code & M-Code.
