Summary The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Volunteer Force (VF) provides Department of War civilian employees an opportunity to support Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in their commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly immigration system. Volunteers will serve in critical support roles up to 180 days at an ICE or CBP facility. Travel, lodging, and per diem will be reimbursed in accordance with policy by the receiving agency. Responsibilities Where possible, responsibilities of Detailees will be commensurate to their current grade levels. Detailees will not perform law enforcement functions.
