Waasigan Project Field Safety Advisor

Valard Construction is hiring a Field Safety Advisor for the Waasigan Transmission Line project located outside Thunder Bay, ON. Ensure a safe work environment through effective safety practices.
As the Field Safety Advisor, you will support on-site supervisors and workers by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and managing day-to-day safety activities. Reporting to the Regional Safety Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in Valard's safety-oriented environment while assisting in incident investigations and providing regular updates on safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety measures are followed in the field
• Review and address daily hazards with staff
• Conduct necessary safety inspections and drills
• Capture safety meeting minutes and reports
• Guide supervisors in JSA development and compliance
Requirements:
• Post-secondary qualification in a related field
• Minimum of 5 years in construction safety
