Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to plan layouts.
• Cut, grind, and prepare metal surfaces by removing rust, grease, and contaminants to ensure proper fit-up.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain welding machines, torches, and grinders.
• Inspect welds and finished structures to identify defects or errors, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) is often required, along with experience in MIG/TIG welding for specific industries.
• High school diploma, technical vocational course, or TESDA National Certificate (NC II/III) in Welding.
