Summary
Description & Main Duties:

As welder your responsibilities will include the fabrication of custom prototypes from supplied drawings, jigs and fixtures to produce parts that meet customer specifications. The use of various hand tools, machinery and equipment will be required to manufacture metal products, as well as your ability to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
Welding, brazing and soldering machine operators perform some or all of the following duties:
Welders may specialize in certain types of welding such as custom fabrication, ship building and repair, aerospace precision welding, pressure vessel welding, pipeline construction welding, structural construction welding, or machinery and equipment repair welding.
