WELDING SUPERINTENDENT (P/L)

Supervise all activities associated with structural, piping and pipeline welding on board offshore barges/vessels. Identify requirements for personnel, equipment and welding consumables to meet project requirements prior to offshore mobilization. Coordinate with welding supervisors / foremen, welding inspectors and third party NDT personnel. Responsible for carrying out welding trials, qualification of welding procedures, training of welders/ welding operators at offshore. Responsible for implementing applicable welding and QA/QC procedures and maintaining welders’ qualification validity. Conduct tool box meetings with welding crew and promote safety awareness among them. Supervise the setting up of welding, beveling and clamping equipment for correctness. Closely monitor the consumption of welding electrodes, shielding gases, welding flux and other related material and report short-falls or request replenishment ahead of time to warehouse and field engineer.
