Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting whānau and tamariki to live free from harm?

We are seeking a full‑time Whāngaia Whakairo (Family Harm) Kaiawhina to provide culturally grounded support and intervention for whānau experiencing family harm across the Ngati Porou rohe | Te Tairawhiti (Coast & Gisborne).

In this role, you will work alongside whānau to strengthen safety, wellbeing, and long‑term outcomes through advocacy, assessment, planning, and collaboration with services. You will be part of a collective, kaupapa Māori approach that empowers whānau to create positive and lasting change.

You will play a key role in supporting tamariki and contributing to safer, stronger whānau across our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Operations : Provide culturally safe, whānau‑centred support and intervention services
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Build trusted relationships with whānau, hapū, iwi, and partner agencies
