WHS Officer

About the position

The Work Health and Safety Officer will assist the People and Wellbeing Unit in ensuring Council are meeting workplace health and safety legislation, compliance and ensuring a safe workplace environment. This includes ensuring the integrity of WHS systems is maintained and educating employees on how to utilise the system efficiently. The WHS Officer assists in building a culture towards health, safety and overall wellbeing for Council employees and contractors.  

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain formal document control of Council’s electronic safety management system to support integrity of the system and ensure ease of access for all employees. Train employees in how to best utulise the system.
