Women & Girls Equality Panel Member - Tameside

Are you passionate about gender equality, live or work in Tameside, and want to be part of a group of women and girls influencing policy across Greater Manchester? If so, you could be one of our next cohort of Panel members!

In 2020 the Greater Manchester Combined Authority established a Women and Girls Equality Panel, alongside 6 other equality panels, to accelerate gender equality in the city-region and highlight the voices of those not traditionally included in policymaking. The Panel works towards a vision for all women and girls across the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and beyond to have equal opportunity to start well, live well and age well.

The Panel meets periodically, and works to:

• Advise, support, and challenge the GMCA, the Mayor, and partners on key issues and the inequalities facing women and girls.
• Undertake specific pieces of work to reduce the inequalities experienced by women and girls in the city-region.
