Workshop Manager

Role: Chargehand | Location: Merthyr | Hours: 45 hours per week | Monday-Friday | Days only
Salary: Up to £48,300 per annum (DOE)

Are you ready to take charge? We're recruiting an experienced Chargehand to lead workshop operations within a busy service environment. This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for overseeing personnel, equipment, and workflow while ensuring compliance with roadworthiness and health & safety standards.

The Role

• Manage and support workshop personnel, ensuring effective planning and efficient workflow
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external customers
• Prepare quotes and provide progress updates throughout the job lifecycle
• Plan, oversee, and sign off work, ensuring accurate documentation and real-time invoicing
• Inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles and specialist equipment in line with DVSA and roadworthiness requirements
