W/WW Treatment Mechanic II

Under limited supervision, performs skilled-craft mechanical work at the journeyman level in maintaining, installing, repairing and troubleshooting of water/wastewater treatment and pumping facilities mechanical equipment and components. Work assignments are subject to established procedures, practices, or well-defined policies and are reviewed upon completion for technical soundness, appropriateness and adherence to methods, standards, and policies. Work requires knowledge of the methods, practices and procedures for maintaining and repairing water/wastewater process equipment and a general knowledge of water/wastewater treatment and pumping operations. Work is performed following established methods, practices, and procedures, which are substantially diversified and some latitude is permitted to consider and choose the most appropriate method, technique or procedure to follow.
