TITLE: YOUTH CARE WORKER - 20 Hours DEPARTMENT: Schools REPORTS TO: Principal or Designate WAGE: $32.32 - $33.67 hourly wage effective July 1, 2024 SUMMARY: With direction from the teacher or administrator, the YCW assists in developing and implementing individual education plans for students with emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties. DUTIES: Maintains liaison with teachers, counsellors, administrators, students and their families. Conducts home and community visits. Assists in the development and implementation of specific academic/social interventions with students who present unique and challenging behaviors. Provides guidance to students and their families. Organizes and participates in field trips and other special events. Provides transportation as needed. Assists the teacher in evaluating and reporting on individual students.
