What better place to spend your summer than in Banff? And what better summer job, than “Taking Care of Banff” by exploring, camping, and mentoring our community’s children & youth (ages 11 to 15)?
You will participate in three weeks of training, followed by facilitating eight weeks of small-group camps for children/youth. You’ll co-lead up to 10 youth per trip in a series of skill-based camps, run front-country camping trips, two guide-supported backcountry trips, foster connection between youth, our natural world, and different ways to engage with adventure. On a day-to-day basis your role will support inclusion, self-regulation, leadership, and teamwork in your group. You will occasionally drive the group in a 12-seater van (with a Class 4 license). You are a strong facilitator with a demonstrated interest in youth recreation and outdoor leadership.
