Overview

Youth Program Site Assistant at Greater Peoria Family YMCA supports leadership at program sites and helps create an environment that enhances interpersonal relationships, confidence, self-esteem, values, mutual respect, and understanding of diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The role aligns with the YMCA's mission to develop character in all YMCA operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator in creating a variety of experiences that will allow participants to exercise their creativity and imagination.
• Assist in creating activities that are fun as well as therapeutic, educational, and which upgrade participants' skill and ability levels.
• Assist the Site Coordinator in carrying out lesson plans in their entirety.
• Attend all staff meetings and maintain a friendly attitude toward children and fellow staff.
