Youtube Automation Channel Manager

Role summary

You will be the leader of the entire channel operation, responsible for strategy, execution, team building, publishing cadence, and performance outcomes. You'll design the production system, manage the team (FT/PT/contractors), and run weekly optimization based on YouTube analytics.

Responsibilities

• Select niches and develop a clear channel thesis (audience, positioning, content pillars)
• Build a scalable content plan: series concepts, editorial calendar, experimentation roadmap
• Define KPIs and reporting cadence (weekly scorecard, monthly strategy review)
• Own the full workflow: topic research → briefs → scripts → VO → edit → thumbnails/titles → upload/SEO → publish
• Create and maintain SOPs for each production stage to ensure speed + quality
• Run quality control (hook strength, pacing, brand consistency, audio/visual standards)
• Hire, onboard, and manage freelancers/contractors (writers, editors...
